Training Terms & Conditions

Participation in adventurous activities entails some risk of injury and damage to equipment. All Club instructors are trained and appropriately qualified to run sailing sessions and will at all times proceed in a manor to limit the risk of injury and damage. However, customers need to accept that accidents and injuries can happen.

Parkstone Yacht Club does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to property on the premises, nor do the Club accept responsibility for illness, injury or death on the premises.

Participants must expect activity to be physically demanding. Although prior experience is not always necessary an adequate level of fitness is required. Participants must be able to swim 50 metres in light clothing.

If using your own boat it must be insured for a minimum third party liability of £3,000,000 for the duration of the course. The boat must also comply with all Class Rules including buoyancy and safety provisions.

If any medical treatment is needed by the participant during a course, ensure that you have written the details and action to be taken on the online form.

You must inform the Sailing Instructor of any significant changes to your health whilst you are attending the course and/or if you have a contagious virus of any sort in order not to pass it to others.

When booking training you must check the box on the form to indicate that you agree to these terms and conditions.
