As a member, you will be part of one of the most active yacht clubs on the south coast - a warm and welcoming home for both yachting and dinghy sailing.
Our Club is proudly multi-generational, bringing together sailors of all ages and experience levels.
Many of our Members play a vital role in organising events and supporting activities, helping to ensure the Club remains vibrant and successful.

Membership Categories
Full Membership
Our Full Membership is the most popular option and grants all the privileges of being part of Parkstone Yacht Club, including boat storage and voting rights.
Member Privileges
- Book dinghies into yard storage
- Helm boats in Club-organised racing and sailing groups
- Apply for marina berths (subject to the waiting list)
- Keep boats on Club moorings
- Vote at the Annual General Meeting (AGM)
Application Process
All applicants wishing to become Full Members must first complete a Provisional Membership period, which includes an interview.
There are three main age categories that apply to new members
- 18 to 24
- 25 to 35
- 35 and over
Youth Member
- Under 18 - any child under 16 who is sailing at the club must have a parent/guardian as a full member
Associate Membership
Associate membership allows a member access to the clubhouse but these members cannot store a boat at the Club.
There are 3 types of associate membership:
- Sailing– proposed by a Full Member to regularly crew for the named proposer or help support sailing activities
- Local – a permanent resident of the Elms Estate
- Affiliate – a Full Member of not less than 12 months of another affiliated Yacht Club in Dorset or Hampshire
Family Member
A spouse or partner of a Full, or Associate Member, and their children under the age of 25 may apply to become a family member, subject to conditions set out in the Club’s Rules.
If the children wish to sail in club organised sailing activities they need to be Youth Sailing members.
