What to expect...
We are thrilled to welcome our very own Nigel Waite to Parkstone Yacht Club for the launch of his third album.
Nigel is one of the South Coast folk scene’s best-loved performers, and this promises to be a lively and memorable evening of music in excellent company. As well as songs from his new album, Nigel will also perform some familiar favourites, such as the PYC cruiser fleet anthem Near and Far.
The evening will begin with two special support acts: Stan Graham - an award-winning singer-songwriter, who will also be our compère for the night, followed by Johnny Coppin, a true folk legend.
There will be a short pause between the support acts to allow everyone to recharge their glasses, followed by an interval before Nigel takes to the stage.
As well as a superb evening of live music, the event is also in support of a very good cause - all proceeds will go to SeeAbility, the UK's oldest disability charity, and one that is very close to Nigel's heart, with a donation being made to the Commodore’s Charities. There will also be a raffle on the night to raise additional funds.
The evening is open to the public as well as members, so do feel free to bring friends, family and fellow music lovers along. We recommend arriving in good time to buy a drink and settle in before the music begins.
