Steve and his wife Lisa are stalwarts of the Fifteen class, they have to be one of the most regular turned out boats in the fleet.  Steve was Flying Fifteen fleet captain for 5 years until 2023.  Bob caught up with Steve in 2019 just before he took on that role.  Here is what he had to say.

Mike Riley is a keen and regular member of the 15 fleet. He is well known in the Poole area, having owned and managed Poole Sailing. Mike, together with his helm, Colin Rainback, enjoys considerable success in the fleet, showing much younger competitors how it should be done. Bob has to thank Mike for introducing him to the fleet. It was whilst sailing with him in an Autumn series, Bob realised what a good boat the 15 was and what a good competitive fleet we have at Parkstone . Let’s see what he had to say in 2019.

Christina, with her husband Steve, sail a Classic 15 at the Royal Motor and an Ovington 10 at Parkstone, so she certainly puts the hours in sailing 15's. When sailing at Parkstone Christina becomes part of a small group of Ladies by taking the helm, (Steve helms the classic). Christina is now Rear Commodore (Sailing) at Parkstone.  Here is what she had to say when Bob interviewed her in 2019

I have to thank Mike for introducing me to the fleet. It was whilst sailing with him in an Autumn series, I realised what a good boat the 15 was and what a good competitive fleet we have at Parkstone.

With Parkstone one of the most active and numerous (some might say Premier) fleets in the UK, I thought it would be nice to find out what brings people to our fleet, what makes them tick, and what are their likes and dislikes.
