Latest COVID 19 Club News
Updated 24th March 2020

Dear Members

I hope you are all safe and well in light of the pandemic that is sweeping the world. Following the announcement last night we felt we had to be a responsible organisation and therefore had no choice but to completely close the club and yard from 1200 today until further notice.

This means that there are no staff working on site, but where possible they are working from home.  There will be no boat movements into or out of the water until further notice.  The yard gates at the bottom of the slope have been secured to help improve security, but we cannot lock them in case of an emergency.  We ask you not to bring any dinghies or other boats to the club.

Staff members will be visiting the club each day to check the premises and ensure all is secure.

Members can of course visit the club to check their boats but we would ask you to follow the Government guidelines regarding essential travel, number of people and maintaining a safe distance.  Please also be aware of security issues and maintain the closed gates.

The phone lines are not being monitored continuously, so please do not leave a message.  If you have any questions please email the General Manager at GM@parkstoneyc.co.uk.

We are reviewing charges and fees during this period and will let you know what is happening in due course.  We are aware of members concerns in this respect.

Our thoughts are with those who may be struck with the virus and those who are self-isolating.  We cannot foresee how long this situation will stop us from participating in the sport we love, but we will update members as appropriate.

With best wishes
Howard Baron
