The fleet offers the following:

• Help to coordinate training for beginner sailors - helping them get to a level where they can join in fleet activities (equivalent of RYA Stage 2)
• Six club Optimists are available for members to use, so you can "try before you buy".
• A fun range of social activities like picnics and sail-aways both on and off the water.
• Tuesday afternoon training/racing from 5pm to 7pm from April to September.
• Friday Fun sailing sessions from June to September
• ​Sunday training/racing from April to September.
• Regular training with external coaches for more advanced groups.
• The option to join other sailors from Team PYC to attend the Optimist Class Association National & Regional Events and Training Squads. Please refer to the Southern and South West Region Optimist Class for a list of regional events and the UK Class Association for national level events.
• PYC hosted open winter training between October and March for various ability groups above a certain standard.
